Knowing Matters - Where can I find Rockwell Product Safety Advisories (PSA) and Product Notices (PN)?

Technology is always changing and nothing is made to foresee future issues and any anomalies, so keeping abreast of any product notifications, safety advisories and product obsolescences that may be occurring, are important to your operation, maintenance and safety of your plant.

Of course, to have the most up to date information on your Rockwell Automation products, you can set up notifications for all their Product Safety Advisories and Product Notices.

--------------------------------------

We suggest that you create a profile on Rockwell's knowledgebase and request that all product notifications be sent directly to your email box.

You can also search for "Product Safety Advisory" on the knowledgebase like above.

Subscribing to Product Safety Advisory (PSA) or Product Notice (PN) Notifications

  • How do I subscribe to Product Safety Advisories and Product Notices?
  • How do I sign up for notification of new or updated answers for specific products or answer categories?
  • Can I delete my subscriptions?

The same webpage allows you to select notifications for:

  • Products

Or

  • Categories

However, Product and Category notifications are entered individually, one at a time. In other words, when you click Add Product, it only adds the selected Product, without regard to Category. Similarly, if you click Add Category, you only add the selected Category, regardless of Products. You can select multiple Products and Categories in the same session, but each is a separate line item.

Requesting Notifications

To request a notification on a PSA, a PN or another notification type, complete the following:

  1. In the Knowledgebase, click Your TechConnect Account in the left navigation pane.
  2. If you need to enter or update your TechConnect authorization number, email address, or other Contact Information, click on Profile and make the appropriate changes before proceeding.
  3. Click on Knowledgebase Favorites & Subscription Settings.

The Knowledgebase Favorites & Subscription Settings webpage will display:

    • The top part of the webpage displays previously selected answers you saved as Favorites (if any).
    • The bottom of the webpage allows you to select Products or Categories about which you want to receive notifications.
  1. To request a notification on a Product (or Product Family), complete the following.
    1. Click the Add Notifications button at the bottom of the page.
    2. To open the menu of products, click the down arrow next to the "Select a product" field.
    3. Look through the list to find the desired Product or Product Family, then click on the Product or Product Family you want.

Note that if you select a Product Family here, your notifications will include individual Products within that Product Family.

    4. Depending on the Product or Product Family you selected, another drop-down menu may display, allowing you to further define the notification. Do one of the following:
      • If you prefer that your notification remains high-level (based on your selection at b. above), you do not have to select additional search criteria, instead you can skip to d. below.
      • However, if you do want to refine your search, locate the desired search criteria in the second drop-down menu, then click on it.

More level(s) of search criteria options may display, each with its own drop-down menu. These work the same as the previous drop-down menus.

    5. Click the Add Product button.
    6. Repeat b. through e. as needed to request notifications for any other desired Products or Product Families.
    7. After entering all desired Products, you can also add Categories for which you want to receive notifications, or you can exit. To exit, see step 6.

  2. To request a notification for a Category (such as Product Safety Advisories and Notices), do the following:
    1. Click the Add Notifications button at the bottom of the page.  You may skip this step if you are already in the Add Notifications page.
    2. To open the pull-down menu of Categories, next to the Select a Category field, click the down-arrow.
    3. To select the Category for which you're requesting notifications, click on it.

The sample below indicates you want notifications on the Category Product Safety Advisories and Notices.
